Our Story

The Dizzy Duo are Assistance Dog Team Martine & her amazing 3 year old Podenco, Pinta who was rescued from Spain. 

Martine became unemployed when she became disabled by a rare disease of the Vestibular System called SCDS. Times were very hard and with her home under threat Martine knew that she had to find something that she could do from home where she would be able to control her environment.

When she became a mobility scooter user Martine could not find a decent lead for Pinta. She had a vision of exactly what she wanted in mind, but she just couldn't find it on the market. So, she knew she would just have to make it!

When this creation was shared on TikTok with their fellow dog-loving followers, it was received with many enquiries about when it would become available to buy. Martine began to wonder if this idea would be something that could become achievable. The difficulty is, Martine's condition makes it very difficult to do any administration tasks. Martine would need a lot of help from her spouse and her friends.

With the support of friends, family and after addessing some life-admin which needed to be ironed out, The Dizzy Duo was evolved from TikTok Creator Platform to Small Business (although Martine and Pinta still share their experiences together through short videos on TikTok!).

Here at The Dizzy Duo studio, we believe that everybody should be able to experience the pleasure of walking their dog in nature. We pride ourselves in making durable products with accessibility and style in mind.

With her background in disabilities, Martine welcomes the opportunity to assess the challenge and attempt to come up with a solution. So if there is something preventing you from walking the dog, get in touch!
